Emergency Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray/CT)

$2,500 Sign-On Bonus Available for Eligible Full-Time Hires

Priority ER is seeking an experienced, patient-focused Radiologic Technologist to join our emergency care team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced clinical environment, value teamwork, and take pride in providing exceptional patient care, we would like to hear from you.

Eligible full-time Radiologic Technologists may receive a $2,500 sign-on bonus, paid in installments during the first year of employment. Eligibility, payment schedule, and other terms and conditions will be provided during the hiring process.

Our Radiologic Technologists play an important role in the entire patient experience. In addition to performing X-ray and CT imaging, this position works closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical team members to provide efficient, compassionate emergency care.

What You'll Do

As an Emergency Radiologic Technologist, you will:

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray and CT examinations ordered by physicians.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images while following established imaging protocols and radiation safety standards.
  • Properly position patients while minimizing discomfort and anxiety.
  • Practice appropriate radiation protection techniques for patients and team members.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot radiologic equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and facility policies.
  • Assist physicians and nurses with patient care within your training and scope of practice.
  • Assist with patient flow, vital signs, room preparation, and other clinical responsibilities as needed.
  • Accurately document imaging procedures, laboratory testing, and patient-care interventions.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels for radiology and laboratory supplies.
  • Follow HIPAA, infection-control, biohazard, sharps-disposal, radiation-safety, and other facility safety requirements.
  • Participate in required training, drills, skills fairs, staff meetings, and continuing education.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to provide an exceptional patient experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT certification
  • Current Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum of one year of experience performing both X-ray and CT
  • Basic computer proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous emergency room, hospital, or outpatient facility experience
  • Experience performing point-of-care or clinical laboratory testing
  • Experience working in an environment where technologists have both imaging and clinical support responsibilities

$2,500 Sign-On Bonus

A $2,500 sign-on bonus is available to eligible newly hired full-time Radiologic Technologists. The bonus will be paid in installments during the employee's first 12 months of employment, subject to continued full-time employment and the terms of the applicable sign-on bonus agreement.

Additional eligibility requirements and payment details will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position works in a fast-paced emergency care environment that may include high-pressure and emergent situations.

The position requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, grasping, and carrying. Team members may be required to assist with lifting, positioning, or turning patients using appropriate safety procedures.

The position may involve occupational exposure to bodily fluids, infectious specimens, communicable diseases, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions commonly encountered in an emergency care environment.
