Job Description
Go-Staff is hiring a reliable and hardworking Yard Tech to support daily rental yard operations!
The Yard Tech is responsible for keeping the rental yard clean, organized, and safe while preparing equipment for customer pickup and delivery. This position also helps ensure returned equipment is inspected, cleaned, maintained, and properly stored.
JOB DUTIES:
- Prepare rental equipment for customer pickup and delivery
- Inspect returned equipment for damage, cleanliness, and missing parts
- Clean, wash, fuel, and organize rental equipment
- Load and unload equipment safely
- Assist with loading and unloading rental equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized yard, warehouse, work areas, and bathrooms
- Perform basic preventative maintenance, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, batteries, and general equipment condition
- Report damaged or unsafe equipment to management
- Properly stage and store rental equipment
- Follow company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Assist other departments as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
- Forklift experience preferred; training may be available
- Ability to safely operate trucks, trailers, and equipment
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
