BAS Technician

Position Overview

At AMS, our BAS Technicians work at the intersection of HVAC, controls, networking, and system optimization. You'll design, integrate, commission, troubleshoot, and optimize complete building automation systems that improve comfort, energy efficiency, and long-term reliability while working alongside experienced HVAC, plumbing, and controls professionals.

The Work You'll Do

·         Design, program, commission, troubleshoot, and service commercial BAS.

·         Develop Niagara N4 stations, graphics, databases, trends, alarms, and control sequences.

·         Integrate third-party equipment using BACnet, Modbus, and other open protocols.

·         Install controllers, communication wiring, field devices, and associated control hardware.

·         Optimize existing control systems to improve building performance and energy efficiency.

·         Coordinate with customer IT departments for secure remote connectivity.

·         Support startup, commissioning, owner training, and project closeout.

·         Troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, networking, and BAS issues.

·         Collaborate with project managers, HVAC technicians, customers, and fellow controls technicians.

·         Mentor developing BAS technicians when appropriate.
