Yoak Properties is seeking a skilled Residential Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair our extensive portfolio of over 600 rental homes in the Akron and Canton, OH areas. This full-time position offers steady, year-round work with a company truck, allowing you to work independently while delivering quality maintenance and tenant support. Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and maintenance across rental properties including plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall
• Complete make-ready and turn work on vacant units efficiently
• Troubleshoot and conduct minor appliance repairs
• Drive daily between multiple properties using a company vehicle
• Document and close out work orders with detailed notes and photos on time
• Work independently to manage daily tasks and solve problems as they arise
• Interact professionally and courteously with tenants and team members
• Ensure safety compliance on all maintenance tasks

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential or rental property maintenance experience
• Proficiency in plumbing, electrical systems, drywall repair, painting, and general property repairs
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Commitment to professional and courteous tenant interaction

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience using work order management software and documenting maintenance tasks
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive customer service approach
