Commercial Hvac Service Technician

Astar is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. If you're a skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting, solving problems, and delivering exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment
• Service split systems, package units, rooftop units (RTUs), chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and related equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Identify potential issues and recommend solutions to prevent future breakdowns
• Complete accurate service documentation and communicate findings to customers and management
• Assist with equipment startups, commissioning, and test & balance activities as needed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience preferred
• EPA Certification required
• TDLR HVAC Registration or License required
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, controls, and air balancing principles
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean MVR
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs.
• Comfortable working on ladders, rooftops, scissor lifts, and genie lifts
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work in confined spaces when necessary
• Must be safety-focused and able to wear required PPE
