Job Title: Contingent Clinical Care LVN/LPN Float - MC

Location: 4501 Lincolnway East Mishawaka IN USA 46544
Duration: 6+ Months (Potential for Extension)
Pay Rate: $38.00/HR on W2

Schedule: FT, 30-35 hours weekly, every other weekend.  

Hours for clinic are Mon-Fri 8a-7p (1 hour lunch)

                                       Sat 9a-530p (30min lunch)

                                       Sun 9a-430p (30min lunch)

**This is a full time contingent position, 32-40 hours per week including every other weekend, and may require floating to other nearby locations.

All MinuteClinic positions are safety sensitive.

   -Work schedules will be created in 6-week blocks following the 3 weeks of training/orientation.
   -Depending on the needs of the clinic, you can expect a shift to be between 7-10 hours during clinic operating hours.
   -A typical work week will be two or three weekdays and every other weekend.
   -This position also requires working on some major holidays.

Position Summary
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will utilize advanced clinical expertise to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, administering treatments and medications, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and advocating for patients. Your critical thinking and clinical knowledge will help support improved patient outcomes and enhance healthcare delivery.

REQUIRED Qualifications

• Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room.  (Nurses whose experience is primarily in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, home health, LTACs, and skilled nursing facilities may encounter challenges adapting to the MinuteClinic environment. DO NOT submit candidates whose background is limited to these areas.)
• Experience with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing.
• Minimum of one-year related work experience in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems; Epic experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you'll be an important member of the clinical team.You will:

• Administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications.
• Evaluate complex patient conditions, monitor pain levels, and document treatment responses.
• Apply advanced knowledge of vital sign monitoring to identify and record abnormalities in blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.
• Perform routine assessments to monitor patient health and ensure overall well-being.
• Manage patient access to healthcare and connect individuals with community resources for medication administration, self-care techniques, and disease management.
• Conduct medication reviews to identify potential side effects and drug interactions.
• Develop and administer mental health assessments to screen for depression and evaluate mood, behavior, and cognitive function.
• Accurately document patient medical history—including illnesses, medications, allergies, surgeries, and family history—using electronic health records.
• Utilize excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked clinic environment at all times.

Required Experience

• Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings.
• Do NOT submit candidates whose experience is primarily in Long-Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), Home Health, or LTAC, as these backgrounds may not align with the MinuteClinic environment.
• Experience with:
• Phlebotomy
• Vaccine administration
• Point-of-care testing
• Minimum of one (1) year of related healthcare experience.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.

Education & Licensure

• Must possess a current, full, active, and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
• License must be issued by a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
