Job Description
Our client is a leading engineering and infrastructure services organization supporting critical water and wastewater treatment operations. The team is looking for a mechanically inclined individual to support maintenance and reliability of wastewater treatment facilities and related equipment.
The Mechanic-in-Training will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wastewater treatment plant equipment, pumps, engines, motors, generators, HVAC systems, vehicles, and pump stations. Responsibilities include routine inspections, troubleshooting, lubrication, filter replacement, equipment testing, maintenance documentation, and work-order management using Maintenance Connection CMMS. This position is ideal for candidates with mechanical/electrical aptitude, trade school exposure, or hands-on experience with industrial equipment.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Trade school education in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of construction, repair, operation, and maintenance of engines, pumps, motors, and mechanical equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of internal combustion engines and electrical pump motors preferred.
- Ability to enter and maintain maintenance information in a CMMS/Maintenance Connection system.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must live within 30 minutes of the facility.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors and safely around machinery, electrical equipment, high-pressure systems, chemicals, fumes, confined spaces, and other industrial hazards.
- Must be willing to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
