Special Day Class Teacher

We're looking for a Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school community serving students in an extensive support needs early childhood Special Day Class near San Leandro. This is a full-time contract role running now through June 3rd, 2027, and we've got one position open for the right educator.

What you'll need:
• Valid and active Special Education Teaching Credential in Early Childhood Special Education and Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN)
• A genuine passion for individualized, differentiated instruction
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfort collaborating closely with families, general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to build and carry out IEPs

What you'll be doing:
• Designing and delivering instruction tailored to each student's IEP
• Collaborating with teachers, specialists, therapists, and support staff
• Tracking student progress and keeping documentation accurate and compliant
• Facilitating IEP meetings in partnership with parents and school staff
• Adapting curriculum and materials to meet the diverse social and academic needs of different learners
