Fleet & Equipment Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Fleet Maintenance Technician to keep rental fleet equipment and delivery vehicles operating safely and reliably. This is a hands-on position with responsibility for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of equipment and vehicles.

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair rental fleet equipment of various types

• Service and repair material handling equipment

• Maintain and repair delivery trucks

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues in the shop and over the phone

• Communicate with drivers and customers to help resolve equipment problems

• Work with manufacturer technical support when required

• Order parts and manage the repair process efficiently

• Use rental software and computer systems for parts ordering and service records

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and inspection documentation

• Keep the shop and yard clean, organized, and safe

• Assist with equipment inspections, inventory, and yard operations as needed

• Occasionally assist with local deliveries or equipment moves

• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills

• Experience with various engines and equipment repair

• Familiarity with rental equipment and/or small engines

• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues verbally with drivers and customers

• Basic computer skills, including service entries, parts ordering, and rental software

• Ability to work independently and manage priorities

• Organized, reliable, and safety-focused

• Valid driver's license

• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a shop and outdoor yard environment

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Technical or vocational training is a plus

• Class A CDL

• Forklift or construction equipment experience

• Previous experience in a lumber yard or equipment rental environment
