Survey AutoCAD Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Technician to join the Survey team. In this role, you will support engineers by preparing accurate and high-quality survey drawings using field-collected data. The ideal candidate will have strong technical drafting skills, a solid understanding of survey processes, and the ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.

• Prepare a variety of survey drawings using field data, including:

  • Topographic surveys

  • Boundary surveys

  • ALTA surveys

  • Subdivision plats

  • Construction staking surveys

  • Easements and right-of-way plans

  • As-built surveys

• Interpret property legal descriptions and analyze related survey records

• Collaborate with engineers and field teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings

• Support survey projects across multiple sectors, including residential, commercial, municipal, industrial, and oil & gas

• Maintain accuracy, organization, and consistency in all drafting work

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a CAD Technician/Drafter in surveying or related field

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D (experience with Carlson is a plus)

• Technical degree or coursework in land surveying, civil engineering, or related drafting discipline preferred

• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines

• Motivated, proactive, and eager to contribute to a growing team

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Familiarity with survey data processing and field-to-finish workflows

• Experience working on diverse project types (residential, commercial, infrastructure, etc.)
