Job Description
The Warehouse Worker receives, stores, and issues materials, equipment, and other items within a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. This role focuses on accurate inventory handling, safe material movement, and maintaining an organized, compliant storage environment in a high-impact operation that supports life-saving prescription shipments.
Responsibilities- Receive incoming stock items, count quantities accurately, and record data either manually or using computer systems.
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards, ensuring items are handled carefully and efficiently.
- Verify inventory computations by comparing system records to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors as needed.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other designated areas to support efficient retrieval.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, RF scanners, or other labeling equipment to ensure clear and accurate identification.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and support a safe working environment.
- Keep detailed records on the use and damage of stock or stock handling equipment, reporting issues promptly and accurately.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear, defects, or damage, and report any concerns to supervisors for appropriate action.
- Provide assistance, guidance, or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers to support team productivity and accuracy.
- Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock locations based on turnover rates, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of the facility.
- Perform picking, packing, material handling, and order picking tasks using RF scanners and other warehouse tools to fulfill orders accurately and on time.
- Work with a strong sense of urgency and purpose to ensure prescriptions and other critical items are processed and shipped on time.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to follow instructions, document inventory, and coordinate with team members.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability to identify inventory discrepancies, investigate issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player while maintaining a high level of attention to detail in all tasks.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies that support effective security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
- Willingness to work a flexible shift, including the schedule of Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
- Ability to stand for at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to perform tasks that include pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 5–7 years of relevant warehouse, stockroom, or material handling experience required.
- Comfort using RF scanners and other electronic inventory tools for picking, packing, and inventory management.
- Experience with order picking, packing, and material handling in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse or stockroom setting.
- Ability to maintain organization and accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume operation.
- Capability to adapt to different departments and tasks, including manual opening of items, filling containers, checking orders, and placing orders.

Work EnvironmentThe facility is climate controlled and clean, providing a comfortable and orderly work setting. The shift for this role runs Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. The environment is casual, and employees may have one earbud in to listen to music while they work. Phones may be carried in pockets but must not be used on the floor during work activities. The dress code allows jeans, khakis, dress pants, capri pants (no shorter than mid-calf), scrubs, t-shirts, polo shirts, sneakers, closed-toe shoes, leggings, sweatpants, spandex pants, jackets, hoodies, and sweaters without pockets. Sleeveless shirts, shorts, scarves or dangling jewelry, jackets, hoodies, or sweaters with pockets, clothing with inappropriate words or graphics, hats or head coverings, ripped clothing or clothing showing skin, exposed midriffs, and pajama pants are not permitted. Work is organized across several departments where specialists may manually open items, fill containers, check orders, and place orders, all within a structured process designed for accuracy and safety. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
