Energy Modeler

We are looking for an Energy Modeler with expertise in eQuest to join our dedicated team in Flushing. This full-time, on-site position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative architectural and planning projects that prioritize energy efficiency and sustainability.

As an Energy Modeler, you will play a crucial role in creating energy models to assess and optimize the performance of various building systems. Your analytical skills will be essential in helping our teams meet project goals while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The role is integral to our mission to promote sustainable design practices across our projects in the architecture and planning industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze energy models using eQuest for various building types

• Collaborate with architects and engineers to evaluate design options

• Conduct energy simulations to assess building performance

• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders

• Ensure compliance with local and national energy codes and standards

• Utilize advanced modeling techniques to enhance energy efficiency

• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in energy modeling

• Support in the development of sustainability strategies for projects
  

Requirements

• Familiar with NYC code is a MUST

• 1-3 years of experience in energy modeling, preferably with eQuest

• Strong understanding of building systems and energy efficiency principles

• Proficient in energy modeling software, especially eQuest

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
