Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Property Administrator to support a busy affordable housing community in Lafayette, Louisiana. This contract to permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who is organized, resident-focused, and confident working in a fast-moving property management environment. The role supports a portfolio of tax credit communities totaling more than 200 units and requires strong administrative skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach. Candidates who bring LIHTC knowledge, leasing exposure, and proficiency with common property management systems will be well positioned for success.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day administrative operations for a multifamily property portfolio in Lafayette, Louisiana, helping maintain accurate records and efficient office workflows.
• Assist with leasing activities by responding to resident and prospect inquiries, preparing documentation, and supporting occupancy goals.
• Manage files and compliance-related paperwork for affordable housing programs, including tax credit documentation and reporting requirements.
• Maintain resident accounts, unit data, and property information within Yardi and other internal systems to ensure records remain current and reliable.
• Coordinate with onsite and regional leadership to address property needs, resident concerns, and operational priorities in a timely manner.
• Prepare correspondence, spreadsheets, and routine reports using Microsoft Word and Excel to support property performance tracking.
• Provide attentive customer service to residents, vendors, and team members while helping create a positive community experience.
• Contribute to a fast-paced team environment by balancing multiple priorities, following established procedures, and adapting to changing operational needs.
• Prior experience in property management, residential leasing, or property administration is required.• Hands-on knowledge of LIHTC or other low-income tax credit housing programs is required.
• Proficiency with Yardi software and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and management.
• Demonstrated ability to stay organized, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively within a team setting.
• Detail-oriented approach to resident service, problem-solving, and day-to-day property support.
