Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring safe operations, maintaining production schedules, improving operational efficiency, and supporting product quality while leading and developing production teams.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys working on the production floor, responds effectively to changing priorities, and motivates employees to achieve production goals while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily production activities to ensure efficient workflow and on-time completion of manufacturing schedules.
Lead shift start-up meetings to communicate production priorities, safety reminders, and operational expectations.
Maintain an active presence on the production floor to monitor operations, identify issues, and implement timely corrective actions.
Coordinate staffing assignments and cross-training efforts to maximize productivity and maintain operational continuity.
Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, immediately addressing unsafe conditions or behaviors.
Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, and other departments to minimize downtime and resolve production challenges.
Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to production personnel.
Monitor and analyze key production metrics such as equipment utilization, downtime, labor efficiency, throughput, and safety performance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, workplace organization, and housekeeping standards to maintain an audit-ready production environment.
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee development, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when appropriate.
Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support business and operational objectives.
Demonstrated leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, workplace safety, quality systems, and production operations.
Experience using operational metrics to drive performance improvements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic production reporting systems.
Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as production requirements dictate.
Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing leadership experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
Proven experience leading teams, improving operational performance, and meeting production targets in a high-volume or fast-paced setting.
Ability to stand and walk throughout the work shift.
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
Ability to safely work in an active manufacturing environment.

This position is based within an active manufacturing facility and involves regular exposure to production equipment, varying temperatures, and moderate to high noise levels. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities may shift based on operational requirements.
