Job Description

Job Description
A day in this role

You clock in, scan the CMMS for overnight notes, and make a quick walk-through of the line—extruders humming, grinders and shredders ready, conveyors tracking true, motors and gearboxes in spec. Your first task is a scheduled PM, but a call comes in: a conveyor needs immediate attention. You diagnose, correct, and document—safely and efficiently. Later, you help install an equipment upgrade, lend a hand to production with setup and cleaning, and finish by handing off clear notes for the next shift.

What you’ll take ownership of
  • Maintaining and repairing industrial production assets: extruders, grinders, shredders, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and related mechanical systems
  • Executing preventive maintenance and accurately closing work orders in the CMMS
  • Troubleshooting mechanical problems quickly and safely
  • Supporting equipment installs, improvements, and basic fabrication
  • Partnering with production on equipment operation, cleaning, and changeovers
  • Keeping the workspace orderly and following all safety procedures
  • Documenting completed work and communicating clearly across shifts

  • Familiarity with bearings, belts, chains, and drive systems
  • Exposure to extrusion equipment is a plus
  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
  • Electrical exposure (VFDs, motors, PLC troubleshooting) is a plus; mechanical ability is the priority
Work environment & requirements
  • Lift up to 65 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Comfortable around moving machinery, noise, and temperature changes
  • Able to climb, work at heights, and in tight or confined spaces
  • Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation
Technical proficiency we value
