IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The School Age Childcare (SACC) positions listed below are 10-month opportunities that follows the school calendar year, from September through June. Employees also have the opportunity to extend their employment by opting in to work in our Summer Camp program during July and August, based on program enrollment and staffing needs. This flexible schedule offers the opportunity for continued employment throughout the summer while supporting engaging programs for children year-round.
OPEN SACC POSITIONS:
ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT – $16/hour
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 16 years old (with valid NYS working papers for minors)
1 year experience working with children
GROUP LEADER – $16.43/hour
Minimum Qualifications:
HS Diploma/GED
2 years experience working with children under 13
SITE SUPERVISOR I OR II – $20.74/hour or $21.99/hour
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree, School Age Childcare Credential, OR 18 college credits in a related field
2 years experience with children under 13
1 year supervisory experience
LEAD PRE-K TEACHER – $19.57/hour (Eagle Point Elementary ONLY)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree, Child Development Associate Credential, OR 9 college credits with plan of study leading to degree/CDA
- 2 years experience with children under 13
- 1 year supervisory experience
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (ALL SACC POSITIONS):
Maintain 30 hours of childcare-related training every 2 years
Tuberculosis (TB) Test and physician’s clearance to work in childcare
Basic computer skills, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
Child Abuse Prevention (Supervisory Staff), CPR, First Aid, AED, Blood-borne Pathogens trainings (completed within 30 days of hire)
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Monday - Friday, 2:30pm/3:00pm – 5:30pm/6:00pm
- Shift start & end times vary by school location
