AllStar Heating & Cooling Corp. is a close-knit, family-owned HVAC company that has served the Chicagoland area for over 40 years. We are looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician/Installer who can work independently and begin performing service calls right away.

Competitive hourly pay based on experience, plus commission.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair, and install residential HVAC and IAQ equipment
• Service and install PTAC equipment
• Provide customers with professional recommendations and estimates
• Maintain truck stock, tools, vehicle, uniforms, and company property
• Complete work orders and paperwork electronically
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Assist with other duties as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of residential HVAC field experience
• Trade school or classroom training does not count toward the required experience
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with HVAC service and installation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• EPA certification required; NATE certification is a plus
• Professional appearance and strong customer service skills
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and computers
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift equipment and tools
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing

PTAC experience is a plus, but we are willing to train an experienced HVAC technician.
