Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a Per Diem basis. Bertrand Chaffee Hospital is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential health resources to our community. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, performing cardio-pulmonary evaluations, and educating patients and their families about their conditions.
Responsibilities:
Perform cardio-pulmonary evaluations, EKGs, and respiratory therapy treatment techniques
After appropriate certification, perform arterial punctures at the radial, brachial, and femoral sites
Educate patients and their families about their conditions and teach appropriate disease management techniques
Carry out decontamination and necessary maintenance of all equipment
Requirements:
AAS Respiratory Therapy
Current and Valid NYS Respiratory Therapy unrestricted licensure/registration
(RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or eligible to take the Registry Exam
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate of $36.73 - $40.75 based on years of experience
