Job Description
The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential HVAC systems. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail to ensure that systems operate efficiently and effectively. The technician will interact with homeowners to explain issues and solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience. EPA 608 (Type II) Certification. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Comfortable with blueprints and manuals. Strong HVAC knowledge.
Duties:- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues in residential settings including furnaces and boilers, including work on boilers and rooftop units.- Perform repairs and maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.- Install new HVAC systems and components, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.- Brazing skills, compressor replacement experience, and experience with installing thermostats.- Educate and advise homeowners on energy efficiency and system upgrades.- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including assessments, repairs, and installations.- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.- Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies and industry trends.
