Job Description

Job Description
Build precision. Power production. Join Acloche in Lancaster as an Automated TIG Welding Technician.

Acloche has immediate temp-to-hire openings for skilled operators who thrive in fast-paced production. Step into a role where advanced automation meets craftsmanship. You’ll work with high-volume automated TIG systems to fabricate custom hydraulic lines and tubular products that support both heavy and light equipment. The facility operates 10 automatic TIG welding stations alongside manual lines and robotic cells.

A day on the line

From the first bell, you’ll set up your assigned TIG station, confirm calibration, and load programs. You’ll inspect prepped components, verify measurements, and launch the production cycle. Throughout the shift, you’ll monitor operations, fine-tune parameters like speed and feed, and perform periodic checks to ensure weld quality. If an issue appears, you’ll troubleshoot quickly, document findings, and keep output moving. You’ll wrap up with accurate logs, counts, and data entries to lock in a clean handoff.

Your core responsibilities
  • Set up automated TIG welding equipment (calibration, cleaning, and preparation) to begin production cycles.
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed) and run periodic test operations.
  • Verify that parts are properly prepped; inspect components using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Monitor output to detect machine-related errors or defects and correct issues as they arise.
  • Keep detailed records of approved/defective units; maintain activity logs.
  • Enter setup and production data into the computer to confirm accurate configurations.
  • Remain flexible to support any department as business needs shift.
What you bring
  • Proven experience as a machine operator in a production environment.
  • Hands-on knowledge of high-speed machinery and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers).
  • Solid understanding of production workflows and procedures.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and effective teamwork/communication.
  • Commitment to safety and consistent use of PPE.
  • Physical stamina and strength to meet job demands.
  • Flexibility for mandatory overtime as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree is a plus.
