Job Summary:

Aspen Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Dietary Manager to join our dynamic team in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. As a key member of our dietary department, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation of our food service program, ensuring quality food options for our patients and residents.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the dietary department, including menu planning, food preparation, and food service

• Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure meal production meets quality and quantity standards

• Develop and implement food service procedures and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

• Supervise and train dietary staff, including cook, wait staff, and other support personnel

• Conduct quality control assessments and make recommendations for process improvements

• Maintain accurate records, including inventory management, menu planning, and food safety logs

• Collaborate with the nutrition team to develop menus that meet patient and resident dietary needs

• Maintain a safe and clean food environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards

Requirements:

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification or eligibility to obtain within 6 months of hire

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a long-term care or hospital setting as a dietary manager or supervisor

• Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to mentor and train staff

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

• Familiarity with food service software and technology
