Warehouse / Vehicle Patrol Officer

Schedule:Warehouse Division: Monday through Wednesday 0700-1530
Vehicle Patrol Division: Saturday and Sunday 0700-1530

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and professional Security Officer for a combined Warehouse Officer and Vehicle Patrol position. This role is responsible for maintaining site security through vehicle patrols, warehouse and loading dock monitoring, access control enforcement, perimeter inspections, and detailed documentation. The ideal candidate is alert, detail-oriented, customer service focused, and capable of working independently while maintaining a visible security presence throughout the property.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct continuous vehicle patrols throughout parking lots, drive lanes, perimeter roads, and exterior building areas

  • Maintain a highly visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized activity

  • Perform routine inspections of parking areas, fence lines, gates, loading docks, exterior doors, and building access points

  • Conduct required QR checkpoint scans and patrol verification rounds according to site requirements

  • Identify and report security breaches, safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, and suspicious activity immediately

  • Control access at vehicle gates, warehouse entrances, and loading dock areas

  • Verify authorization for employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors requesting entry

  • Enforce after-hours access restrictions and deny entry when proper authorization is not obtained

  • Open and secure designated vehicle gates according to site schedules and post orders

  • Ensure no access point is left unattended or unsecured

  • Monitor loading dock operations and ensure dock doors remain closed and secured when not actively in use

  • Remain present at loading dock areas during active loading and unloading operations

  • Observe shipping, receiving, and delivery activities to ensure compliance with site security procedures

  • Prevent unauthorized entry through dock doors and warehouse access points

  • Inspect warehouse access points for propped doors, bypassed access controls, or unsecured conditions

  • Monitor for safety hazards including spills, leaks, blocked exits, damaged equipment, and unsafe conditions

  • Secure authorized packages left outside in designated safe locations and notify management

  • Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, access logs, patrol logs, QR scans, and required documentation accurately and on time

  • Utilize radios, mobile devices, GPS verification, and company applications to document patrol activity

  • Coordinate with Dispatch and site management regarding incidents, security concerns, and operational updates

  • Conduct required QR scans every 30 minutes

  • Inspect warehouse areas and monitor daily operations

  • Check for lights, machinery, or computer systems left on unnecessarily

  • Monitor for water leaks, roof leaks, and maintenance issues

  • Report safety hazards, suspicious activity, and security concerns immediately

  • Enforce company policies including no eating or drinking in restricted areas

  • Maintain communication with Dispatch and CCTV personnel

  • Complete reports and document incidents during shift

  • Assist inbound and outbound deliveries during loading and unloading operations

  • Day shift (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM) duties focus on warehouse operations assistance with no patrol requirements


Qualifications
  • Valid Guard Card required

  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record

  • Previous security, patrol, warehouse security, or access control experience preferred

  • Strong observation, communication, and report writing skills

  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within assigned authority

  • Comfortable using smartphones, mobile applications, radios, GPS systems, and electronic reporting platforms

  • Ability to perform vehicle patrols, exterior inspections, and prolonged standing or walking as required

  • Reliable, punctual, professional, and detail-oriented

  • Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the entire shift

  • Understanding of access control procedures and Observe & Report security practices

  • Ability to work outdoors and in warehouse environments
