JOB TITLE: Building Materials Associate II
JOB LOCATION: Idaho Falls, ID
EXEMPTION STATUS: Hourly
REPORTING TO: Location Manager
FUNCTION: The Building Materials Associate II handles customer service and operations tasks, fulfilling orders and supporting inventory accuracy with limited direction. Serves as a dependable point of help for customers and begins guiding newer associates on daily work.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
- Serve customers and resolve routine order and product questions independently
- Fulfill and verify orders for pickup and delivery
- Receive and stock product and maintain accurate placement
- Support cycle counts and help correct inventory discrepancies
- Guide newer associates on daily tasks and safety practices
- Identify and communicate product, stocking, or safety issues to the Location Manager
- Other responsibilities assigned by management
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Serve customers and resolve routine order and product questions independently
- Fulfill and verify orders for pickup and delivery
- Receive and stock product and maintain accurate placement
- Support cycle counts and help correct inventory discrepancies
- Guide newer associates on daily tasks and safety practices
- Identify and communicate product, stocking, or safety issues to the foreman
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Related experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier loads with assistance
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the shift
- Work outdoors in heat, cold, dust, and other varying conditions
- Operate material handling equipment and hand tools safely
