Meat Clerk

Assist Meat Manager with tasks to assure profitable operation of the meat department.

MAINTAIN A CLEAN, ATTRACTIVE, FRESH AND APPEALING DEPARTMENT.

WORK WITH THE MEAT MANAGER ON SALES, LABOR AND PROFITS.

ORDER AND RECEIVE MEAT PRODUCTS AND SUPPLIES. 

GRIND AND WRAP MEAT PRODUCTS AND MAINTAIN PROPER MEAT LOGS.

CUT AND MERCHANDISE BEEF, CHICKEN AND PORK.

FILL COLD CUT AND FREEZER CASES.

CLEAN AND DISPLAY CASES.

MONITOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AND RESOLVE ANY CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS. 

COMPLYING WITH COMPANY GOALS AND OBJECTIVES. 

DETERMINE THE BEST-SELLING PRODUCT MIX AND RETAIL DISPLAY.

ENSURE THAT ALL METHODS AND PROCEDURES COMPLY WITH GOVERNMENTAL RULES AND REGULATIONS.

COMPLETE SPECIAL DUTIES OR ASSIGNMENTS AS REQUESTED BY THE MEAT MANAGER.

Requirements/Responsibilities

Hard-working
Reliable
Trustworthy
Must be able to lift 40 pounds
Some meat experience
