Azure Migration Engineer/Administrator

 

Location: Sterling, VA (Onsite)

Pay: $55-70/hour W2

We're seeking an Azure Migration Professional to join the infrastructure team of a global engineering & construction org. undergoing a large-scale migration to Microsoft Azure. This is a hands-on role for someone who has experience helping build and migrate cloud environments from the ground up, rather than simply supporting existing Azure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Azure migration and infrastructure modernization
• Deploy and manage Azure resources including VMs, Storage Accounts, VNets, Load Balancers, and App Services
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot Azure networking, VPN connectivity, DNS, routing, and firewall solutions
• Manage Entra ID (Azure AD), user access, groups, and RBAC permissions
• Monitor and optimize Azure environments using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics • Provide Tier 2/3 support for cloud and infrastructure-related issues

Ideal Background:

• 3+ years of hands-on Azure experience, experience in Azure migration projects from initial setup through deployment
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, compute, storage, identity services
• Solid networking fundamentals: DHCP, DNS, routing, VPNs, firewalls
• PowerShell and/or Azure CLI experience
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
