Safety & Compliance Coordinator

Job Overview

United Employment Solutions is seeking an experienced Safety & Compliance Coordinator to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive workplace safety and compliance program at a manufacturing company in Ontario, CA.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Cal/OSHA compliance, safety program development, employee training, inspections, incident investigations, and regulatory documentation. This individual must be comfortable building safety policies, procedures, and systems from the ground up.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • $32–$36 per hour, depending on experience

  • Bilingual English/Korean is also a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement company safety policies, procedures, and written programs.
  • Create and maintain the company’s Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
  • Ensure compliance with Cal/OSHA, OSHA, and applicable safety regulations.
  • Conduct facility inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
  • Develop corrective action plans and follow through on safety concerns.
  • Investigate workplace injuries, incidents, and near misses.
  • Maintain OSHA logs, training records, inspection records, and compliance documentation.
  • Develop and conduct employee safety training and new-hire orientations.
  • Establish programs related to PPE, Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, forklift safety, emergency procedures, and other applicable hazards.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update company policies as needed.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for workplace safety and compliance matters.
  • Work closely with management and supervisors to promote a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of safety, EHS, or OSHA/Cal-OSHA compliance experience.
  • Previous experience developing or implementing workplace safety programs.
  • Manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or industrial safety experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA regulations and IIPP requirements.
  • Experience with incident investigations, audits, corrective actions, and OSHA recordkeeping.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the safety program.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
