Quality Supervisor – Manufacturing
Location: Glastonbury, Connecticut
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Pay: $27.00–$29.00 per hour
Overtime: Available but not mandatory; typically half-day Saturdays
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Quality Supervisor to support its precision manufacturing operation in Glastonbury, Connecticut. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional who understands the exacting standards of aerospace manufacturing and is ready to combine technical inspection expertise with frontline leadership.
The ideal candidate has experience inspecting precision-manufactured components, confidently uses micrometers and calipers, and knows how to maintain quality while supporting production goals. This person will help guide the quality team, address inspection concerns, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure products meet customer, drawing, and industry requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support quality inspectors in daily inspection activities
- Assign priorities and help ensure inspections are completed accurately and on schedule
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of precision-manufactured components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements
- Accurately use micrometers, calipers, and other inspection equipment
- Verify that finished products meet dimensional, visual, and quality requirements
- Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming materials or products
- Work closely with production employees and leadership to resolve quality concerns
- Help investigate defects, determine root causes, and support corrective actions
- Maintain accurate inspection records, quality documentation, and reports
- Reinforce established inspection procedures and quality-system requirements
- Train, coach, and support quality team members
- Assist with internal audits, customer requirements, and continuous-improvement initiatives
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, precision, and quality
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Quality Inspector, preferably one to three years
- Previous supervisory, team-lead, or quality leadership experience, preferably one to three years
- Experience working in aerospace manufacturing
- Ability to use micrometers and calipers accurately
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and dimensional tolerances
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with quality, production, and management teams
- Must be a U.S. citizen due to applicable position requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience in a precision metal-manufacturing or AS9100 quality environment
- Familiarity with nonconformance reporting, corrective actions, and root-cause analysis
