Part Time Custodian

Hours: Base of 15–20 hrs/week, with additional hours as needed up to 35

Pay: $12–$16/hr depending on experience

Schedule: Flexible schedule; some weekend hours required

Location: Southeast Beaumont (77705)

Our church is seeking a dependable and detail‐oriented Part‐Time Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for worship services, ministries, and community events. This role works inside a faith‐based Christian church setting, and requires respect for the church’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

• Weekly cleaning and facility upkeep
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal
• Restocking supplies and maintaining cleaning equipment
• Light maintenance tasks (changing bulbs, minor repairs, reporting issues)
• Setup and tear‐down for banquets, functions, and special events
• Picking up cleaning supplies or materials as needed
• Safely drive and pick up congregants for services or church functions
• Ensuring facilities are secure and prepared for weekly services

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks
• Ability to set up and break down tables, chairs, and equipment for events

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Experience

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience
