Warehouse Clerk / Material Handler
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Clerk / Material Handler to support our warehouse and production operations. This position is responsible for receiving, organizing, tracking, and moving materials and jobs throughout the facility while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring production stays on schedule.
The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. This position requires frequent walking and standing throughout the facility and the ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 35 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Receive, organize, identify, and distribute materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
- Move jobs, parts, and materials from one production process to the next.
- Verify that job travelers are properly completed, stamped, and accurate before moving jobs to the next operation.
- Maintain accurate tracking of work-in-process materials and production flow.
- Ensure materials are available to production teams when needed.
- Assist with inventory organization, material identification, and maintaining an orderly warehouse.
- Perform basic warehouse duties, including staging, stocking, labeling, and locating materials.
- Follow established procedures for material handling, inventory control, and production documentation.
- Communicate with warehouse and production personnel regarding material needs, job status, and discrepancies.
- Identify and report missing, damaged, or incorrect materials and documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and material movement throughout the workday.
- Safely lift, carry, and transport parts and materials weighing up to 35 lbs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse, material handling, manufacturing, production support, or a similar environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow written instructions and documentation.
- Ability to read and understand job travelers, labels, work orders, and basic production documentation.
- Basic organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with others.
- Ability to regularly walk, stand, bend, and lift materials as required.
- Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus, if applicable.
