High Volume Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist

Green Meadows Partners is partnering with an established organization to identify an experienced High-Volume Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist!

This position is responsible for processing payroll for approximately 275 employees while also supporting accounts payable and general accounting functions. We're looking for someone who has experience independently managing a large payroll population and understands the importance of accuracy, confidentiality, and meeting strict payroll deadlines.

Experience in a construction or similarly fast-paced, high-volume environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for approximately 275 employees accurately and on schedule
• Review employee time, earnings, deductions, and benefit changes for accuracy
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable payroll policies and regulations
• Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies
• Remit employer tax payments to appropriate federal and state agencies as needed
• Support accounts payable functions and maintain accurate payment records
• Prepare check runs, ACH payments, and other disbursements
• Assist with month-end accounting activities and account reconciliations
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
• Provide additional accounting support as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience required
• Previous high-volume payroll experience strongly preferred
• Experience processing payroll for 200+ employees highly preferred
• Accounts payable experience required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential employee and financial information professionally
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Experience with Spectrum ERP or similar accounting/payroll software preferred
• Construction industry payroll experience preferred
