Site Safety Specialist II

JOB SUMMARY:

The Safety Specialist II oversees site activities related to environmental health & safety.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·         Coordinates and implements EHS program at the project level;

·         Creates, evaluates, educates, and administers the EHS program for all levels of project employees;

·         Routinely inspects facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.

·         Conducts surveys, evaluations, meetings, inspections and investigations of incidents and activities without supervision;

·         Gathers information and correlates data at the project level;

·         Able to perform EHS training on the project and maintain training records to track all safety training conducted personally or by outside firms;

·         Prepares, maintains, and retrieves records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate or regulatory requirements, including monitoring applications of EHS standards;

·         Promotes Safety Culture between clients, co-workers and subcontractors;

·         Ensures subcontractor safety plans and work practices comply with company and client’s safety standards.

·         Supports all Safety Initiatives on site;

·         Act as EHS Representative during Regulatory Compliance Inspections.
