Job Description
RETAIL MANAGER IN TRAINING
Clean Creations | New Orleans, LA
About Clean Creations
Clean Creations is a health and wellness company on a mission to make healthy living easier, more convenient, and more enjoyable.
We provide fresh prepared meals, smoothies, wellness products, and programs designed to help our customers feel their best while taking the guesswork out of healthy eating.
We're looking for a motivated, energetic, and highly dependable Retail Manager in Training who is excited about health and wellness and ready to grow into a leadership position within Clean Creations.
This isn't simply a retail associate position. We're looking for someone who wants to learn the business, take ownership, lead a team, drive sales, and ultimately become capable of managing the day-to-day operations of our Grab & Go.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Our Manager in Training will work hands-on inside the Clean Creations retail operation while learning every aspect of the business.
You'll start by mastering the same responsibilities as our Retail Wellness Associates—including customer service, product knowledge, smoothie preparation, sales, online ordering, subscriptions, inventory, and store operations.
From there, you'll begin developing the leadership and operational skills necessary to manage the Grab & Go.
Our goal is to develop someone who doesn't just complete tasks, but learns to see what needs to be done, solve problems, lead others, and take ownership of the success of the store.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN & OWN
Customer Experience
You'll learn how to create the level of customer experience we expect from every Clean Creations interaction.
Sales & Revenue Growth
Product Knowledge
Smoothie & Food Preparation
As a future manager, you'll also be responsible for ensuring other associates consistently follow these standards.
Grab & Go Operations
You'll learn how to operate the retail location from opening through closing.
Responsibilities include:
- Opening and closing procedures
- Maintaining a clean, organized, fully stocked store
- Cooler organization
- Product rotation
- Inventory management
- Monitoring expiration dates
- Red Dot procedures
- Restocking
- Identifying low inventory
- Monitoring product quality
- Helping minimize spoilage and waste
- Maintaining store presentation and merchandising standards
Website, Accounts & Subscriptions
Our retail team serves as an important resource for our customers.
You'll become confident navigating our website and helping customers:
- Create their own account
- Place an online order
- Start a meal subscription
- View an existing subscription
- Navigate their account
- Locate their digital wallet
- Understand available credits
- Resolve basic account questions
You should eventually be able to train another employee to confidently perform each of these tasks.
Systems & Administrative Responsibilities
You'll learn the systems required to keep the retail operation organized and accurate, including:
- Point-of-sale system
- Google Drive
- Red Dot spreadsheet
- Retail tracking documents
- Inventory procedures
- Customer account systems
- Subscription systems
- Daily operational checklists
Accuracy and attention to detail are extremely important in this role.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
As you progress through training, you'll begin taking on leadership responsibilities.
You'll learn how to:
- Lead a retail shift
- Delegate responsibilities
- Hold team members accountable
- Train new associates
- Provide coaching and feedback
- Maintain Clean Creations service standards
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed correctly
- Identify problems before they become bigger issues
- Communicate effectively with leadership
- Maintain a positive and productive team environment
We are looking for someone who understands that leadership isn't simply telling people what to do.
Leadership means setting the standard yourself.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You may be a great fit if you:
- Have previous retail, restaurant, hospitality, fitness, wellness, or customer-service experience
- Have leadership experience OR a strong desire to develop leadership skills
- Are genuinely interested in health, fitness, nutrition, or wellness
- Are outgoing and comfortable talking with customers
- Have strong communication skills
- Are organized and detail-oriented
- Are highly dependable and punctual
- Take initiative
- Notice problems and look for solutions
- Are comfortable learning technology and operational systems
- Are confident making recommendations and selling products
- Are coachable and receptive to feedback
- Can hold yourself and others accountable
- Work well under pressure
- Bring positive energy to the workplace
- Want an opportunity to grow rather than simply "work a shift"
THE PERSON WHO WILL THRIVE HERE
We're looking for someone who thinks:
"What can I do next?"
instead of:
"What do you want me to do?"
You notice when the cooler needs attention.
You notice when a customer needs help.
You notice when an employee needs coaching.
You notice when something isn't being done to standard.
And instead of walking past it—you take ownership.
OUR CORE VALUES
Excellence. Passion. Integrity. Consistency. Teamwork.
These aren't simply words on a wall. They're the standard we expect our leaders to demonstrate every day.
