Freight Specialist and Stocker

We are seeking a Freight Specialist and Stocker to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for stocking and maintaining freight throughout our store in order to drive company revenue.

Responsibilities:

• Salesmanship: recommending products based on our customers' unique situations
• Assists customer with taking their purchases to their car as needed
• Stock, rotate, down stock, and price freight. Use FIFO method to stock and rotate merchandise.
• Technical Skills: Forklift, electric pallet jack, pallet jack, feed dolly; cutting keys, rope, chain, welding cable, etc.
• Product Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of merchandise. Actively increases knowledge through attending training and reading product information.
• Follow rotation (FIFO) procedures for different types of merchandise
• Department Cleanliness: Notifies Pricing Specialist to price. Regularly removes empty pallets, pallet jacks, trash, and ladders before leaving department.
• Cashiering skills as needed
• Welcome and identify customer needs
• Accurately sell items by scanning UPCs and other methods of looking up products
• Properly authenticate paper money and accurately count back change
