Warehouse Specialist

Job Summary

The Warehouse Specialist I is responsible for picking, staging, checking, replenishing, receiving, and storing products within the distribution center. The role requires safe operation of forklifts and material-handling equipment, accurate RF scanner transactions, and maintaining inventory and shipment accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick, prepare, palletize, and stage finished goods for shipment.
• Count and cross-check staged orders to ensure 100% shipment accuracy.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move products throughout the warehouse.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and properly charge electric equipment after use.
• Perform light equipment maintenance, including battery watering when required.
• Use handheld RF scanners for picking, replenishment, put-away, and inventory transactions.
• Verify product information and record serial numbers accurately.
• Replenish warehouse picking locations and put products away in designated storage areas.
• Pick and stack products according to established procedures and special instructions.
• Pick, check, over-pack, consolidate, and process parcel cases as required.
• Load and unload trailers safely according to company procedures.
• Verify incoming shipments and determine appropriate storage locations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and prevent fulfillment errors.
• Follow all company, warehouse, and job-specific procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Participate in 5S, Lean, Safety, and other team initiatives.
• Follow applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA requirements, and Drug Enforcement regulations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and department personnel regarding operational issues and returns.
• Work overtime as needed to meet daily and weekly shipping requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Current forklift certification required.
• Stand-up forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to safely operate around heavy equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle/Warehouse Management System experience.
• Electric/motorized pallet jack certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• RF scanner and warehouse inventory system experience.
• Experience with shipping, receiving, picking, replenishment, and put-away operations.
