Immediate opening for a Network Administrator in Seattle, WA who possess:

  • 5+ years of experience in network administration, network management, or systems/network engineering 
  • Strong on-prem, hands-on experience with routers, firewalls, switches, VPNs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and ISP troubleshooting.
  • Ability to support end users, install and troubleshoot Windows workstations, and manage user accounts.


      

FULL DESCRIPTIONSeeking a hands-on Network Administrator to manage and support our multi-site network, server, and end-user infrastructure. This role is responsible for maintaining connectivity between branch locations, administering on-premise Windows servers and virtualization platforms, supporting user devices and business applications, and helping plan future cloud migration initiatives. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable configuring routers, firewalls, switches, and VPNs, troubleshooting software issues for users, and maintaining server and backup infrastructure.

   

The selected candidate will be responsible for:   

Network administration & branch connectivity

  • Manage and maintain the company LAN, WAN, and inter-office connectivity across branch locations in Alabama, California, Massachusetts, Louisiana, and Florida.
  • Administer VPN connections between sites and troubleshoot ISP, routing, firewall, and connectivity issues.
  • Configure, update, and troubleshoot routers, Cisco firewalls, and Dell network switches, including PoE switches supporting the Mitel phone system.
  • Maintain network services such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, internal/external IP addressing, and related infrastructure services.

Server, storage & virtualization infrastructure

  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade physical and virtual servers.
  • Support Dell server hardware, storage arrays, NAS systems, and ongoing migration efforts from FreeNAS toward TrueNAS.
  • Administer virtualization technologies and maintain server licensing and related infrastructure components.
  • Perform server maintenance, patching, monitoring, and capacity planning.

Backups, security & messaging systems

  • Manage and verify server backup processes and recovery readiness.
  • Maintain and update firewall rules, security configurations, and internet edge protections.
  • Administer the on-premises Exchange email environment and related messaging services.

End-user support & application administration

  • Provide IT ticket support for employees across multiple locations.
  • Provision and configure desktops, laptops, printers, desk phones, and mobile devices.
  • Install Windows, required business software, and industry-specific applications on user systems.
  • Troubleshoot software issues, Windows updates, hardware failures, and general workstation problems.
  • Create, modify, and terminate user accounts across Windows, Exchange, and integrated business systems, including account forwarding and access management.

Cloud migration & modernization initiatives

  • Participate in planning and executing migration projects from on-premises systems to cloud-based services where feasible.
  • Help evaluate technical constraints related to custom in-house applications and recommend practical migration strategies.

  
  The selected candidate will also possess: 

  • 5+ years of experience in network administration, network management, or systems/network engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with routers, firewalls, switches, VPNs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and ISP troubleshooting.
  • Experience administering Windows Server environments, Active Directory domain controllers, and Exchange.
  • Experience managing physical and virtual server infrastructure.
  • Experience with Dell server and switch hardware.
  • Ability to support end users, install and troubleshoot Windows workstations, and manage user accounts.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Cisco firewalls and VPN technologies.
  • Experience with TrueNAS/FreeNAS administration.
  • Experience supporting Mitel phone systems and PoE switch environments.
  • Linux administration experience, including CentOS or similar distributions.
  • Experience planning or executing on-premises to cloud migrations.
  • Familiarity with custom or industry-specific business software deployments.

 

Salary Range: $90k-110k/year
