We are seeking a legal assistant/paralegal to become a part of our team! You will provide overall support to the medical provider team.
Responsibilities:
You'll be responsible for ordering medical records, following-up with medical facilities to obtain records, assist with the drafting and submitting of legal documents
File management (both physical and electronic)
Records request and depositions
Data entry
Filing of appeals/legal documents (both physical and electronic)
Calendar Management with a focus on litigation deadlines
Communication with clients, courts, opposing counsel and their respective staff
Other miscellaneous responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a legal assistant and/or paralegal
Computer literacy and satisfactory knowledge of daily operations of a legal office
Proficient with Office 365
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Able to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Deadline and detail-oriented
Knowledge of medical provider bills and records is a plus
