General Laborer

The General Laborer plays a vital role in supporting construction and maintenance operations by performing a variety of physical tasks. This position typically works within a medium-sized team of 6 to 15 people and reports directly to the Site Supervisor. The General Laborer is responsible for handling materials, maintaining site cleanliness, operating equipment and power tools, and adhering to safety protocols to ensure an efficient and safe work environment. This is a hands-on role involving daily on-site work requiring physical stamina and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Handle and transport materials safely and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the construction site
• Operate equipment and power tools, including manual tools and tape measurers
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective gear
• Perform manual labor tasks as assigned by supervision
• Assist team members to ensure smooth workflow and task completion

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in general labor
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Physical stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to compliance
• Basic knowledge of machinery operation
• Effective teamwork and communication skills
