Assistant General Manager - Casual Dining & Live Entertainment

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead operations for a popular, high-volume fast-casual restaurant concept in Washington, DC. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, developing high-performing teams, and driving operational excellence.

Working alongside the General Manager, you'll play a key role in leading both Front-of-House and Back-of-House operations while ensuring outstanding food quality, service, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations
• Lead and support both Front-of-House and Back-of-House teams
• Deliver exceptional guest service while maximizing customer satisfaction
• Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally
• Coach, train, and develop team members to achieve operational excellence
• Organize staffing schedules and supervise daily shifts
• Maintain company standards for food quality, cleanliness, and hospitality
• Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations
• Monitor labor, food costs, and operational performance
• Evaluate vendors and product quality while supporting purchasing decisions
• Implement company policies and operational procedures
• Help build a positive team culture focused on accountability and guest satisfaction

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar leadership role
• Experience in a high-volume fast-casual, casual dining, or full-service restaurant
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop restaurant teams
• Excellent guest service and conflict resolution skills
• Experience managing labor, scheduling, inventory, and restaurant financial performance
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and restaurant technology
• Experience with restaurant management systems such as Toast, Paycom, HotSchedules, TripleSeat, RESY, or OpenTable is highly preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Culinary Arts, or a related field is a plus
