Birch Agency is currently hiring a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time position near Yorkville, Illinois for the 2026-2027 school year.

This opportunity is a middle school co-teaching position where the Special Education Teacher will collaborate with general education teachers to support students in inclusive classroom settings. The teacher will spend approximately 250 minutes per day co-teaching general education sections while also managing a caseload of approximately 12-15 students.

• Middle school setting

• Co-teaching with general education teachers

• Approximately 250 minutes/day in co-taught classrooms

• Case management responsibilities for 12-15 students

• Starting pay: $45/hour

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)

• LBS1 endorsement required

• Previous middle school special education experience preferred

• Strong collaboration and communication skills
