Part-time Van Drivers help older adults travel safely to important destinations and support the daily operations of the agency. This role focuses on dependable service, clear communication, and professional conduct. As a Part-time Van Driver, you will perform the following duties:
- Vehicle Operation: Drive a variety of agency vehicles to transport consumers as listed on the mobile data tablet
- Door-to-Door Assistance: Provide safe and supportive door-to-door service, including helping consumers on and off the vehicle and carrying packages
- Safety Compliance: Follow agency mission and training practices to ensure professional, safe, reliable, comfortable, and courteous transportation
- Communication Duties: Communicate with office staff through two-way radio, mobile data tablet, or cellphone
- Vehicle Care: Complete daily maintenance checks, report problems, and clean and disinfect the vehicle each day
- Schedule Management: Pick up and drop off consumers according to assigned schedules and report schedule issues to the dispatcher
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Part-time employment, 14-21+ hours per week.
- Transportation operates 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturdays
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
- You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
Condition of Employment:
- No suspension of driver's license within the last three years.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
