THE POSITION

Become a Casework Supervisor with Blair County Children, Youth, & Families and bring your leadership skills to a team that serves children and families. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports caseworkers and helps guide the delivery of services for children and families. The work focuses on supervision, training, and ensuring compliance with agency standards. As a County Casework Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:

  • Case Assignment: Assign cases to staff and oversee daily case management activities
  • Staff Mentoring: Guide and teach caseworkers in techniques for supporting abused and neglected children
  • Record Review: Examine case records and documents to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Field Assistance: Support caseworkers during home visits and provide direction as needed
  • Policy Development: Help improve policies and procedures to meet laws and regulations
  • Training Coordination: Identify training needs and ensure caseworkers complete required learning


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. You will be expected to rotate emergency duty coverage for after-hours calls.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
