Duration: 9 Months
Location: Ellsworth AFB, SD
Overview: Seeking a highly experienced Construction Surveillance Specialist with at least ten (10) years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will perform surveillance of construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications while delivering findings to government personnel.

Duration: 9 Months
Location: Ellsworth AFB, SD
Overview: Seeking a highly experienced Construction Surveillance Specialist with at least ten (10) years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will perform surveillance of construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications while delivering findings to government personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform surveillance of construction projects and deliver findings to USACE-COR
- Deliver surveillance reports on all phases of construction for compliance with plans and specifications regarding workmanship, materials, installation, and construction methods
- Become familiar with contract plans and specifications related to all phases of construction and recommend necessary changes to government personnel
- Provide surveillance at construction sites, assist COR in resolving apparent differences, and deliver opinions to government personnel
- Survey quality assurance programs related to projects, discuss changed conditions, and provide advice to government personnel
- Assist the Government in investigating the need for and preparing data for change orders
- Develop detailed inspection requirements and control methods in coordination with Government personnel
- Deliver drafts of change orders and modifications for the COR's signature
- Perform other duties as assigned
- At least ten (10) years of experience meeting the position description
- Experience with at least one of the specialized skills or codes listed
- Medical Gases (NFPA 99)
- Life Safety Code (NFPA 101)
- National Electric Code (NFPA 70)
- Plumbing (IPC)
- Fire Protection Systems (NFPA 13 & 72)
- HVAC/TAB (ASHRAE/AABC/NEBB)
- Building Commissioning
- Communications & Security (IT, Nurse Call/Code Blue, Imaging & IDS/PACS, ICD 705)
- Biomedical Engineering (CT, PET, CATH, MRI, etc.)
- Transport/Equipment (Patient Lifts, Elevators, Transport Systems, Pneumatic Tube, Food Service, Sterilizers, Mortuary & Laboratory)
- Dredging
- Welding Inspection
- Painting and Metalizing Inspection
- Environmental HAZWOPER, Site Sampling (40 hours HTRW Course and current 8-hour refresher)
- Airfield Paving and Concrete
