Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting K–8 students in a vibrant educational setting near Waterville, ME. This full-time position begins August 26th, 2026, and runs through June 12th, 2027, offering a chance to make a meaningful difference for a diverse group of young learners. With a singular location and a committed schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM (37.5 hours per week), you’ll provide essential services to a manageable caseload of approximately 30–50 students with various speech and language needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license for the state of Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Prior experience working with K–8th grade students is highly valued
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and develop goals for a range of speech-language disorders
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students across a spectrum of needs
- Administer evaluations and create tailored intervention plans
- Document student progress, prepare IEPs, and participate in meetings as needed
- Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to optimize student outcomes
- Support students in developing functional communication and language skills essential for academic and social success
