Job Description
Exciting opportunity for experienced Occupational Therapists with a passion for supporting students across multiple school settings! Embark on a rewarding contract assignment for the 2026-2027 academic year, spanning from August 2026 to June 2027. This role involves working full-time (35-37.5 hours per week) and serving a diverse K-12 caseload in schools near Merrimack, NH. Two talented OTs are sought for this placement, providing vital services across more than one school campus.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with relevant credentials for school-based practice
- Previous experience in educational or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Comfortable supporting K-12 students, adapting approaches for different age groups
- Flexibility to manage a schedule across multiple school locations
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, parents, and other therapists
- Strong documentation, organizational, and time management abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver occupational therapy services to students
- Travel between assigned schools as needed to provide on-site support
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and other related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized programming
- Document student progress and maintain up-to-date records in compliance with district requirements
- Flexibly adapt to schedule or caseload changes as needed
