Special Education Teacher in Brockton, MA

Key Qualifications:

• Active Special Education teaching certification (appropriate MA licensure required)
• Previous experience working with elementary aged children with diverse learning needs
• Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Adaptability in dynamic classroom environments

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and modifications aligned with student IEPs
• Assess academic and functional development; monitor and document progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, and academic growth
• Participate in team meetings and support transition planning as needed
