Physical Therapist - School Setting in Orange, NJ

This full-time, contract position for a licensed Physical Therapist offers the chance to make a significant difference working in a district-wide role from September 4, 2026, through June 25, 2027. You'll collaborate with K-12 students and education teams during the academic year, ensuring impactful therapy services are provided consistently and compassionately.

What we're looking for:

• Valid New Jersey Physical Therapist license
• Experience or interest in working in school-based settings (K-12 preferred)
• Ability to fulfill state and district onboarding requirements, including TB test, physical exam, and comprehensive fingerprinting
• Strong interpersonal skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Flexibility to adapt across multiple school locations within the district
• Commitment to full-time hours (35 hours a week), with availability Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 3:15PM
• Willingness to participate in a Zoom interview as part of the hiring process

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group therapy sessions to students K-12
• Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to promote student success
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals related to physical therapy needs
• Travel between multiple school sites within the district to provide consistent services
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Support positive student outcomes by participating in team meetings and professional development
