Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is designed for an experienced Pharmacist ready to step into a leadership role as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) within a retail pharmacy setting. The position is based in Rock Falls, IL, with a contract-to-hire arrangement offering a 13-week initial assignment and potential for permanent placement.
Location: Rock Falls, IL (Initial assignment near Prophetstown, IL)
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- First shift, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Software: McKesson Enterprise
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Supervise, train, and manage pharmacy staff including pharmacists and technicians.
- Review and verify prescriptions to guarantee accuracy and patient safety.
- Manage medication inventory, including controlled substances, and maintain pharmacy records.
- Develop and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to address medication-related concerns and optimize patient care.
- Ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy workflow at all times.
Qualifications:
- Active and clear Pharmacist license in Illinois.
- Demonstrated management experience, ideally as a Pharmacist in Charge.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy law and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with McKesson Enterprise software preferred.
