Job Description
Make an impact as a school-based Physical Therapist providing vital support to students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a welcoming educational environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work 15-20 hours per week throughout the full school year, starting on September 8th, 2026. Your expertise will help students access their education and achieve their physical potential across a range of settings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Previous experience providing physical therapy services in a school setting is highly valued
- Knowledge of IEPs, documentation, and goal-setting for K-12 students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptable and patient approach to meeting the diverse needs of children and adolescents
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions to students with a variety of needs
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and caregivers to integrate therapy strategies in classrooms and daily routines
- Maintain accurate records and thorough documentation
- Provide guidance and education to staff and families on best practices for supporting mobility and participation
