School Occupational Therapist - Jay, Maine

This contract role offers you the chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support students in reaching their full potential—both academically and personally. You’ll have a flexible schedule, working 14-21 hours over 2-3 days each week, with assignments beginning as soon as possible and continuing through June 2027.

Bring your experience in school-based OT, home health, or healthcare OT to a diverse caseload. Specifics of your caseload will be discussed during the interview, giving you insights into the individual needs and opportunities you’ll encounter. Your expertise will assist students in developing crucial life skills and overcoming barriers to learning.

Desired Experience & Skills:

• Current Occupational Therapy license (Maine or eligibility)
• Experience in schools, home health, or healthcare OT settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, families, and staff
• Compassion, flexibility, and a passion for student growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite therapy to students to develop fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assess, plan, and document student progress, adapting interventions as needed
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to school-based initiatives
