Special Education Teacher | Boulder, Colorado

This full-time contract opportunity focuses on students aged 18-21 at a transition center, where you’ll play a pivotal part in guiding their path towards greater independence and job readiness.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid or in-process CDE license (active copy required with your application)
• Minimum of one year classroom experience in special education
• Demonstrated flexibility and ability to collaborate within a team
• Experience with data collection, IEPs, and BSP implementation is crucial

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach a caseload of 12 students, focusing on job readiness and independent living skills
• Lead instruction both in the classroom and through community-based learning
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs)
• Collect, monitor, and analyze student data to track progress and inform instruction
• Ensure compliance with all IEP requirements and documentation
• Foster a supportive, respectful environment that encourages student growth and confidence
